Which currencies are supported for Payment Connect?

From Hong Kong account transfer to Mainland China account (Northbound):

You can choose to deduct funds from either HKD or RMB accounts to make RMB fund transfers via Shacom Bank mobile App.

If using an HKD account, we provide real-time currency conversion to RMB for the transfer.

 

From Mainland China account transfer to Hong Kong account (Southbound):

Mainland China accounts will be deducted by RMB, while transfer in HKD or RMB to accounts in Hong Kong.

Are there transfer limits for Hong Kong transfer to Mainland China accounts through Payment Connect?

Using Shacom Bank mobile App to make instant transfer to Mainland China accounts via Payment Connect are subject to the following limit:

  • Daily limit: HKD 10,000 (or equivalent) and
  • Annual limit: HKD 200,000 (or equivalent)

It is independent of the daily CNY 80,000 same-name remittance limit and the daily HKD 10,000 limit for domestic FPS small-value fund transfer.

Must transfers to Mainland China via Payment Connect be same-name account transfers?

No. The service supports both same-name and non-same-name account transfers.

What are the fees for transfers to Mainland China via Payment Connect through Shacom Bank mobile App?

Currently, if you are making transfer to Mainland China via Payment Connect through Shacom Bank mobile App , the handling fee will be fully waived.

How long do transfers take to reach Mainland China accounts?

Transfers to Mainland China via Payment Connect are usually almost instant, but it is also subject to the processing of the receiving Banks and clearing institutions.

Can I stop a transfer instruction after I submit the instruction via Payment Connect through Shacom Bank mobile App?

No. You cannot stop the transfer instruction once the instruction has been submitted.

When making an instant transfer, please review the payment details and payee information including payee's name and account number carefully.
