How the Security Device works

When you access transactions at the online banking that require a Security Code, you can simply follow the on-screen instructions and generate the Code.

Use of Transaction Signing Function

Transaction Signing involves a more protected authentication process. To enjoy secure online transactions, you can enter Transaction Specific Information such as beneficiary account number, bill account number etc. on the Security Device to generate a unique Security Code.
 

Online Transactions that required Transaction Signing include but not limited to:

• Fund transfers to non-registered account(s) (including third party accounts at the bank or other banks)
• Non-registered bills of designated merchant(s) (including Banking and Credit Card Services, Credit Services, Securities Broker and Hong Kong Jockey Club)
• Purchase of Bank Draft (including Demand Draft and Cashier's Order)

Apply for the Security Device

Please submit the completed application form to any of our branches to apply for your Security Device. Upon successful application, we will deliver your Security Device to your registered mailing address.
