Terms and Conditions
- "Total Asset Balance" means the monthly aggregate balance of the daily average of all the credit balances in the deposits accounts, structural deposit and credit card accounts, the market values of the securities and investment products in the securities accounts, and the total premium paid for life insurance plans issued by Hong Kong Life Insurance Limited which were applied through the Bank held in the name of the customer with the Bank, including any credit balances, securities and investment products of those accounts pledged or charged in favour of the Bank. If the customer applies for the SMART Banking Service in his/her sole name, all asset balance of the joint account(s) of the customer will not be included, and vice versa. The relevant calculation results shall be subject to the Bank's records. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
- The Bank reserves the right for final approval of SMART Banking Customers.
- The minimum limit for the Total Asset Balance for SMART Banking customers is fixed at HK$1,000,000. If the Total Asset Balance is less than HK$1,000,000, the Bank will charge and debit a SMART Banking monthly service fee of HK$200 from any of the customer's account without any prior notice.
- SMART Banking customers are bounded by the "Terms and Conditions for SMART Banking Service". For details, please refer to the "Terms and Conditions for Bank Accounts and General Services" of the Bank.
- In the case of any fraudulent activities or practices as determined by the Bank reserves the right to deduct an equivalent value of gifts and privileges awarded in the past from the Customer's accounts without further notice, and may take legal action to enforce repayment of relevant outstanding charges.

- In case of any inconsistencies between the Chinese and English versions of the terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
