New security feature of "Disable setting up of Internet Banking Services" is available now
To facilitate customers to safeguard bank accounts, starting from 22 June 2025, a new security feature is available and customers are provided an option of disabling the setting up of Internet Banking Services (including Personal Internet / Mobile Banking and Shacom Pay).
If customers wish to disable setting up of Internet Banking Services, they can submit such request via Personal Internet / Mobile Banking, Customer Service Hotline or any of our branches.
Please note that after disabling setting up of Internet Banking Services:
- Your Internet Banking Services (including Personal Internet / Mobile Banking and Shacom Pay (if applicable)) will be terminated and you will no longer be able to register the Internet Banking Services as mentioned above. If you need to enable setting up of Internet Banking Services, please visit any of our branches.
- Your registered Mobile Security Token will be disabled. Customers can still use the physical Security Device / SMS One-Time Password to login Internet / Mobile Stock Trading Services with two-factor authentication.
- Your enrolled e-Statements Service (including savings/checking, credit card & securities accounts) will be cancelled and changed to physical statement. It will be effected on the next working day. Paper statement fees may be payable. For service details and charges, please refer to "e-Statement Service". Please ensure that the correspondence address you registered with the Bank is correct for receiving paper statement. Besides, you will not be able to view your e-Statement of the related accounts online and you are advised to download and save the required e-Statements via Personal Internet / Mobile Banking for your record before submission of your instruction.
- Your scheduled transfer and payment instructions set up via Personal Internet / Mobile Banking will be cancelled.
If Customers have not requested for disabling the setting up of Internet Banking Services, their accounts will be set to "Enabled Setting Up of Internet Banking Services" by default and can register for Internet Banking Services through various channels.
